Sandra Hickley gives SOUL credit for helping her climb the world's highest free-standing mountain in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro. On December 4th, 2013, Rain Partner Sandra Hickley embarked on an adventure to climb the world's highest free-standing mountain in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
This is her story of dedication and perseverance and how SOUL helped her along the way.

Training Begins

As a self proclaimed "summit junkie", Sandra trained 3-4 days a week for months on different ranges in the Rocky Mountains supplementing her diet with SOUL, Rain International's seed-nutrition health drink. Sandra shared with us that she felt renewed vigor, healed faster, and had greater energy while taking SOUL daily.

Top of the World

After completing training, she set off for Tanzania, Africa to face one of her biggest and most dangerous goals of her life. For six grueling days, she hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro which stands over 19,000 feet above sea level, claims 8-9 lives a year, and has a climb  fail-rate as high as 55%.

Each 12-14 hour long day was met with challenges from fatigue, weather, and low oxygen. The extreme elevation and difficulty of her trail forced her to pause after each step for a few minutes to avoid altitude sickness. Through out the trek Sandra drank SOUL which she credits helped reclaim precious lost energy.

On December 11th, Sandra finally reached the top of the summit proudly holding SOUL in her hand!

Gratitude

She gives thanks to her husband for introducing her to Rain and how it
has impacted her family for the better ."At first I was skeptical when my husband brought SOUL home, but after feeling the results I knew what I had was precious. My kids love it and ask for a packet each day. I've seen the positive health changes in them as well. Without SOUL as part of my training and climbing Mt. Klimanjaro, I know I'd have had a much more difficult time."
